Monticello’s complete focus is on developing long-term relationships with its clients. The company does no traditional marketing and accepts no outside project work in the belief it would detract from its clientele. Approximately 53% of Monticello’s assets under advisement are with endowment and foundation clients and 36% are with high-net-worth family clients. The Monticello team is very careful to only accept new clients that share goals, overarching investment philosophy, and a long-term time horizon in order to maximize the opportunity for success. Purposely remaining a niche player within the investment consulting community, it is Monticello’s firm belief that a highly focused approach is the only effective means to achieve its clients’ investment objectives over the long term.
